The 4×100 relay team made up of Micah Rogers, Campbell, Dietra Sober and Holly Wright finished fourth with a 50.32 time. Coffeyville won the event with a 49.16 time. Andale had a 49.37 time. In the 100 meter dash, Campbell, headed to Wichita State University to run, ran the fastest race of the day with 12.0 time — besting not only the 4A competition but every girl in every 100 race today. The elements were perfect on a cloudy, somewhat windy but cool spring day. She ran the exact same time earlier today in the preliminaries. She still has two more races to run: the 200 meter and 4×400 relays which will start around 5:40 p.m. Earlier today, Holly Wright finished seventh in the 100 meter hurdles. Bryson Gann of Belle Plaine also placed today in the Class 3A high jump with a 6-4 leap.Holly Wright finished seventh in the 100 meter hurdles running 16.65 this morning. As a team, Wellington is currently in eighth place with 19 points. Chances of finishing in the top three does not seem like a possibility. Baldwin has 53, Andale 51, and Paola 51 leads Class 4A. We will continue to update throughout the day.
