Seasonality, unfavorable structure and obsolescence of accommodation capacities are the key weaknesses of our tourism sector, show the relevant SWOT analyzes, and as one of the most significant weights of the sector is the bad image of Croatia. The mentioned term is defined by economic theorists as a set of beliefs and impressions that people have about a country, more precisely, as a picture of a large number of associations and pieces of information related to that country. In this case, despite the fact that Croatia has been a member of the EU for four years, when it comes to tourism, recent research shows, Croatia is still associated with a country of Balkan provenance, and ultimately a country with a certain democratic deficit. In this sense, in today’s environment of global media, the role of sports, especially football, which as a planetary phenomenon has evolved into one of the most important media, primarily in terms of creating and then promoting the image of a country, has become extremely important. Sport in general, especially football in front of everyone and everything, like it or not, has become a significant lever for “building” the image of a country, while, furthermore, the same image has become a significant fact in creating competitive advantages. In such a global environment, where impressions become more important than facts, we still have a huge deficit of awareness of the potential of the image, and the lack of an image management strategy is unnecessary to discuss. That is why it is necessary to stand behind the new video of the Croatian Tourist Board, premiered on the second day of WTM in London, in which the main roles are played by our celebrated athletes, the purpose of which is to exploit, multiply and multiply the reputation that our top athletes enjoy he manages it in a way that will lead to the conversion of attitudes and perceptions about Croatia, which will at least approximately collide with the reputation of our sports stars. It is to be hoped that the times when the Ministry of Tourism and the Croatian National Tourist Board “ran” through opportunities (bronze of football players at the World Cup in France, planetary successes of Janica Kostelic, Goran Ivanisevic da) to multiply global media attention focused on our announced athletes behind us.Published by: doc.dr.sc. Facebook3Tweet0Pin0Submitted by Adopt-A-Pet of SheltonHi! I’m Beau and I am about 8 years old and weigh 68 pounds. My time before was spent at the end of a chain. Here I have a nice roomy kennel with indoor and outdoor space. I get to run in the huge play yards without even a leash. They even take me for walks on the trails and I walk very politely without pulling too much. I really want to have a new home where I am the only dog.I impressed the people here at the kennel by responding when they asked me to do a sit and a down. I guess they can see that I really am a smart, sweet dog. I hope I am the dog you have been waiting for. I know I have a lot to learn but I’m ready to work with you if you have time and love enough to teach me how to be an even better friend and companion. We have many great dogs and always need volunteers.
