The Flaming Lips Share Super Trippy Music Video With New Album [Watch/Stream]

first_imgThe Flaming Lips finally released their highly anticipated new album, Oczy Mlody, yesterday on Friday the 13th. The psychedelic rock band hasn’t released a full length album since their 2014 Beatles tribute, With A Little Help From My Fwends, and hasn’t released original music since The Terror in 2013. So the coming of Wayne Coyne and company’s new project is that much more exciting. They’ve been releasing songs and videos leading up to the album over the last couple of weeks, including a track with Miley Cyrus. With the release of Oczy Mlody, they share one more collective work of art.The music video for “Nidgy Nie (Never No)” features the band under a sheet of plastic in a color-changing room with Coyne against a wall singing words of despair. The synth-driven dance piece welcomes the rest of the album with new expectations. Future-psych-rock is novel to the Lips, and they’re going to keep driving that point with each and every tune they share with the world.
